Excellent combination properties such as, high tensile strength, wear resistance and permeability, empower Polyester needle punched felt to be an effective and popular filtration media. Various types of polyester yarns are provided to satisfy particular applications. For example, multifilament filter cloth not only strengthens its tensile strength but also ensures good cake release. Different woven patterns including plain, stain and twill, are designed with special purposes.

Application

The manufacture and processing of metals often generates large quantities of pollutants and the industry has long been involved in the development of improved technologies that reduce the impact of their operations on the environment.

Steel plants are constantly striving to limit their emissions, whether they be by land or air with particulates being an ever-present focus. There is a vast array of processes within the metals industry for which control measures are required to inhibit particulate emissions.

Coking batteries, sinterbands, convertor furnaces, electric arc furnaces, casting and fettling operations all generate quantities of particulate matter to be collected and, on occasion, reprocessed.

Furnace operations in particular can produce large volumes of inherently fine dust much of which can be categorized as respirable. As a result, the levels of release to atmosphere of such dusts are under constant scrutiny and appropriate air pollution control is required to bring total dust emissions below ever-reducing regulatory limits.
